EngAge BC announces Rebecca Frederick as Senior Manager, Strategic Engagement
Established in May 2019, EngAge BC aims to support the distinct needs of private pay seniors’ living and wellness providers. This week, EngAge is announcing its second full time staff person.
“I’m very pleased to announce that Rebecca Frederick, previously BCCPA’s Manager, Public Affairs, will be joining the EngAge BC team as the Senior Manager of Strategic Engagement. Rebecca will be leading our stakeholder engagement efforts and will be working with other staff members to support the launch and success of EngAge BC’s key programs and initiatives,” says Daniel Fontaine, CEO, BCCPA & EngAge BC.
“Rebecca has also been assigned to work closely with EngAge BC’s Member Council to support the development of the organization’s vision, mission and strategic plan,” he continues.
Frederick will begin her new role on August 19th and will set as a key priority the development of the Assurity certification program which is set to launch in early 2020. Over the coming months EngAge BC will undertake a significant consultation process with B.C.’s assisted living and independent living operators to ensure the program meets the distinct needs of both our members and BC’s seniors.
“Over the last few years I’ve enjoyed working closely with our members across B.C., and now, with the guidance of EngAge BC’s Member Council, I’m looking forward to ensuring we meet the needs of our growing independent living membership as well as the seniors they serve,” says Frederick.
Members who would like to participate in EngAge BC’s consultations can contact Rebecca at rebecca@engageseniors.ca.
EngAge BC members are eligible to access the various programs and services it offers as well as receive the benefits of BCCPA membership, which includes public affairs support from the BCCPA. Existing BCCPA members are automatically considered as EngAge BC members.
Independent living operators are currently welcomed to join EngAge BC at no additional cost.
